Upcoming Events:
Spring Chicken Run - Sunday 2nd June |
CHESHAM MG NATTER : 20th SPRING CHICKEN RUN
Sunday 2nd June 2024
Come and join us for a double celebration : the 20th running of our ever popular Spring Chicken Run, and the final celebration of MG100. And due to it’s overwhelming popularity the destination will be The Henley Business School on the banks of the Thames for Sunday Lunch.
For the Tulip Roadbook Run during the morning Neil and Graham have devised a great route around the Chilterns, which is different to previous years, with different points of interest.
The day will commence when we meet at Little Hay Golf Complex, Box Lane, Bovingdon HP3 0DT from 9.00am. Please park in the main car park as close to the Natter’s sail flag as possible, and then proceed to the Golf Club’s Restaurant to check-in and receive your ‘Tulip style’ route book. A choice of bacon, sausage or egg bap and tea/coffee will be available after you have checked-in. Please arrive in good time to sign on and have your snack, after which we will set off on the run, departing by 10.00am.
The Tulip Route is 66 miles – we recommend you leave Little Hay not later than 10.00am and aim to be at the Hotel by 12.30pm (the Bar Service will be busy, although we have been assured they will have extra staff this year).
Our destination will be The Greenlands Hotel at Henley Business School on the Thames, just outside Henley (post code RG9 3AU on A4155). We will have a reserved parking area, and after arriving please gather in the Bar off the Main Hotel Reception. Please arrive in good time to purchase any alcoholic / soft drinks you may require, and so we can be seated in the Heyworth Restaurant from 1.00pm. It is a three course self-service Carvery Lunch with a vegetarian option, and the choice and quality has been excellent on previous visits.
After lunch you may take a walk in the grounds, and down to the river, or enjoy a visit to the nearby Toad Hall Garden Centre or the scenic Hambleden Lock area (thoroughly recommended).
Your Spring Chicken Entry includes the breakfast snack, the Tulip Route Book and Sunday Lunch. Should you have any questions about the event please contact Richard on 01494 728253 or at r.colston@btinternet.com
We very much hope you will come and join us, and celebrate our 20th Spring Chicken Run. If so please complete and return the attached Entry Form and make payment.
Regards, Richard & Christa.
Can we please have your booking by Tuesday 7th May 2024 at the very latest.
